Community Resource Fair

Community members are invited to attend a free Community and Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Helen Drake Senior Center, 7600 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85051. Attendees can get information about the Early Head Start and Head Start programs, employment services, Earned Income Tax Credit information, utility assistance resources, Community Information and Referral services, Family Advocacy Center, Landlord/Tenant counseling, solid/hazard waste and recycling programs, and other community services from more than 50 community organizations. Staff from Councilman Daniel Valenzuela and Councilwoman Thelda Williams offices also will be present and available for questions and comments.

Also, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and attendees are encouraged to show their support and help bring awareness to the community by wearing purple to the event.
