Survey: Muslim Women & Wearing Hijab

As-Salamu Alykoum,

A group of university and collage professor’s in the U.S are conducting a survey about Muslim women and wearing Hijab, they contacted us to forward this survey link to our sisters in the community who may want to participate. Below is the original message;

“I am contacting you on behalf of myself and four other scholars conducting research on Muslim public opinion in the United States. Our survey asks Muslim women for their views regarding the practice of wearing Islamic head coverings, and we hope you can help us spread our online survey to the female members and staff of the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix.

The project is motivated by the lack of large-scale surveys directly asking Muslim women about their personal thoughts and by the pervasive ethnographic research citing the experiences of a small number of Muslim women. We hope to collect survey responses from over 1,000 women in the United States. We expect the results of this research will reveal the diversity and richness of Muslim public opinion in the U.S. and shed light on the views and practices associated with Islamic head coverings in the context of the United States.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and each respondent’s anonymity is guaranteed. The online survey should not take more than 10 minutes. Our only request is that you send the survey link to Muslim women in the United States. Please find the link to our survey below:
