Islamic New Year 1438
It’s been about 1438 years now since the Muslims, led by prophet Mohamed (Peace be upon him), migrated from Mecca to Madina, marking a very important point in the history of Islam. According to Umm Ulqura calendar, Sunday October 2nd, 2016 is Muharram 1st 1438 (Hijri/Islamic new year day). We would like to wish you a Happy New Hijri Year. May ALLAH make it a blessed, happy and joyful year for you all. May ALLAH bring you prosperity, success, great health and great E’iman (faith), Insha’Allah.
The first ten days of Muharram are among the best times to fast and worship during the year, especially fasting the 9th and 10th days of Muharram. Imam Mahmoud gave a Friday Khutbah and a Halaqa back in 2011-2012 about the blessed month of Muharram.
