Hate Group Demonstrate In Front of Arizona Masjid’s

CAIR-Arizona brought to our attention that there have been recent Islamophobic demonstrations taking place in front of Arizona mosques in recent weeks. These demonstrations have been taking place on Fridays to harass worshipers after Jummah prayers. If you see these people, DO NOT engage with them in anyway. These people are from an organized group that travel for the sole purpose of provoking and inciting people. They also wear cameras to capture any reactions to post online. They have been known to file charges against anyone acting aggressively towards them.

Again, if you see these people simply walk away and do not speak with them. If you feel threatened, call the police immediately. If you see any suspicious behavior, document it and call the authorities – do not confront. For more about this group please read CAIR-AZ Chairman Imraan Siddiqi post titled “What To Do When A Hate Group Shows Up Outside Your Mosque”

Many thanks for the solidarity and support of the interfaith community in our state for speaking out against this act of hate, please read the “Interfaith Statement In Support of Islamic Community Center of Tempe”

  2. I have been trying to find out who issued a permit to these people. So far I have been transferred to seven different city of Phoenix departments – no one has a clue.

Do you guys know? Don’t suggest the police – they don’t know either.

    Stay safe.

    • Thank you for your solidarity

  6. You are under the protection of Allah soubhanahou wataala, so don’t worry. Salam from Canada.

  7. I am not Muslim… but would just like to apologize on behalf of these people who are persecuting you. I am so, so sorry that this group of hateful people is preventing you from practicing and honoring your own religion. I am so saddened – not just by the burning hatred – but by the blatant disregard for the rights of all Americans to live and worship in peace.

I am so sorry for what you must all be going through.

  9. I am not Muslim, but came to this site to express my dismay at this rally today. I think it’s disgusting that people would be treating you this way. I shared my feelings on these hate-mongers online, and was thoroughly attacked myself for defending you. So even though I am just one person, I am standing up to those who are the real extremists here. Ibrahim is correct that they are deaf, dumb, and blind. I sincerely hope no one is harmed today.

  10. How interesting that CAIR would characterize the group protesting as a hate group. I would think they are rather supporters of the freedoms that the US is founded upon. The Freedom of Speech, though at times it may be offensive, is far from hate. It is the expression of what may be differences in belief and different world views. The Muslim community needs to grow a thicker skin if it wants to be relevant in the US culture. This is not a theocracy, nor a country that will stand for violence against those that don’t adhere to your concept of truth.

  11. Hi. I am a Christian and am very sorry to hear about the hate groups that have been harassing you. I also believe in “Love your neighbor” and stand with you that we can live in peace and mutual respect.

  12. You guys are on the right track by advising everyone to avoid these ignorant people. I’m here in AZ and I support all what you do. If anything these people actually are pormoting ISLAM!!!

  13. I am not a Muslim, but but I admire the dignity with which you responded to bigoted provocateurs. It was an example Americans of any religion can and should admire.
